Warranty Information
Thomas Marine will process warranty claims on equipment from the manufacturers we represent, provided we have all of the necessary information to file the claim.
Information we need to file your claim
Before we can open a warranty claim with the manufacturer on your behalf, please have the following ready:
- Owner's name and address
- Boat name and builder
- Hull number or registration number
- Manufacturer, model, and serial number of equipment
- Date of purchase of vessel or equipment
How manufacturer warranties work
Manufacturers generally offer a warranty on their parts and equipment. Some manufacturers offer limited labor allowances for either repair or replacement. Warranty work is performed under the guidelines set in place by the manufacturer. The equipment owner's manual or the manufacturer's website will have more detailed information on specific warranty allowances.
Thomas Marine will file a warranty claim on the customer's behalf. However, should the repairs exceed the manufacturer's warranty allowance, it is the responsibility of the customer to make up the balance. The customer needs to clearly understand all of the allowances and limitations before confirming warranty repair.
Yacht builder warranty issues are usually addressed by the sales facility where the vessel was purchased; however, Thomas Marine is available to assist in resolving air conditioning issues that arise.
